Month 6: Half Birthday!

A huge milestone month! Baby may start solids, sits independently, and is becoming wonderfully expressive.

Physical milestones

• Sits without support
• Rocks back and forth on hands and knees
• May begin to scoot or army crawl
• First teeth may appear

Emotional and cognitive milestones

• Stranger anxiety begins
• Responds to emotions of others
• Enjoys looking at self in mirror
• Knows familiar vs unfamiliar faces
