Month 29: Rule Learner

Toddler begins to understand and (sometimes) follow rules. They know right from wrong and test limits.

Physical milestones

• Hops on one foot
• Catches a bounced ball
• Uses child-safe scissors independently
• Buttons large buttons

Emotional and cognitive milestones

• Understands rules (may not follow them!)
• Shows guilt when breaking rules
• Asks for help when needed
• Uses past tense words
